We are sad to say goodbye to Frostie today as he makes his way over the Rainbow 🌈 bridge. Along with Owen, Frostie was the first pony we had at Ratcliffe Equestrian when we first launched in 2008. On the whole he was kind and gentle and he taught a lot of kids how to ride…… that said he could be a cheeky little pony….. inside that small pony was definitely a huge spirit and he will be sadly missed. RIP Frostie
All our lovely clients if you have lessons booked in for tomorrow, Friday or the weekend please contact Karen BEFORE setting off for your lesson — we managed lessons yesterday but today even the track was frozen which made the schools unusable. The main school hasn’t been out of use since we had the drainage put in 18 mouths ago and the snow isn’t really the problem but it is just too cold at the moment ❄❄❄. The weather is very changeable at the moment too so am making decisions day by day.
Many thanks for your understanding and roll on Spring!!!!
Please call Karen or keep an eye on our Facebook page for latest news.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the last 10 years.
Whether as staff or as clients, whether you’ve been with us from the start or only just joined us thank you so much for your support. Ratcliffe Equestrian is all about “for the love of the horse” and your support has meant we have been able to share that with you all for the last 10 years….. here’s to the many more years to come.
By way of celebration for our 10th Anniversary here’s a link to a gallery of photos from the last ten years…
We are trying to get the top school ready for use again, but the recent weather has not been helpful!! Massive thank you to all our lovely clients who have stuck with us through the winter, the wind and the rain and even the snow!
Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year 🎊🎊 to all our lovely clients. We have enjoyed having some fun and sharing some horsey knowledge about riding with you all in 2017 🤪 and look forward to seeing you all in 2018 🎉🎉
Using my iPhone camera to help my client understand the importance of a good lower leg position and common faults – also I can show her what I see and help her establish the connection between what I can see and what she can feel 😁#loveteaching
Success!! 🎉🎉 The first lesson under the lights went ahead last night without a hitch and more successful lessons under the lights tonight School, tack room and office all successfully lit – the only slight hiccup was the yard light didn’t work (currently under investigation 🤔)
Really important for ALL Road users to be safe and responsible – riders, drivers, walkers, bikers…… if we all did it with a Thanks and a smile going on the roads would be a much nicer experience for us all! Mutual respect and responsibility…… and remember no one group has more or less right than any other to use public roads.
